Youth Fencing Academy Sydney was founded in 2024 and has quickly established itself as a dedicated space for developing young athletes. Even within our first year of operation, we have been committed to providing high-quality fencing training and supporting the growth of the sport within the local community.

Our Classes
We provide training in all three fencing weapons—foil, épée, and sabre—with programs ranging from little star to foundation classes to development class, competitive, fitness class and individual lessons.
We also offer fencing installation, repair, and maintenance services, and can design and install custom fencing tailored to your needs.
TERM 3 AND TERM 4 TIME TABLE

Y.F.A.S. Development Pathway
From Y.F.A.S. to AUS National Team
At Youth Fencing Academy, we provide a structured pathway for fencers to develop from enthusiastic beginners to elite athletes representing Australia on the national stage.
Club Level – Foundation & Development Class
- Fencers start at our Little Star and Foundation/Development classes, learning fundamental techniques, footwork, and sportsmanship.
- Focus on building confidence, coordination, and a love for the sport.
- Participation in local club competitions and friendly bouts to gain experience.
State Level – Competitive
- Fencers who demonstrate skill, discipline, and commitment move into Competitive classes.
- Training emphasises advanced techniques, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning.
- Regular participation in state competitions to gain ranking points and competitive experience.
Australian Youth Team Pathway
- For dedicated athletes looking to extend their capabilities through intensive, performance-focused training.
- Includes professional-level coaching in advanced strategy, conditioning, and psychological resilience.
- Athletes gain opportunities to broaden their experience through higher-level competitions, including select interstate and international events, as appropriate to their development stage.
High Performance Development
- Elite fencers progress to High Performance and National Team training squads.
- Intensive, professional-level coaching with advanced strategy, fitness, and psychological preparation.
- Opportunities to compete internationally and represent Australia in major championships, including World Cups, Junior World Championships, and the Olympics.
